KL International Flying Academy

Posted by kedai service 20.7.11 0 comments

KL International Flying Academy (KL International) considers that Cadet Pilots must know more than how to fly, they must also be educated as a company employee, as an aircraft commander, as a pilot and as a good citizen. That is why the main objective of KL International Flying Academy is:

“To provide an excellent “finishing school” for these Cadets Pilots and future leaders”

Flying Training

KL International flying training for Cadet Pilot is therefore based on Human Information Processing concepts drawn from aviation psychology sciences. Traditional instructional techniques have been restructured to complement the student’s mental processes during ab-initio skill development. The result of this training is an excellent blend of manipulative skill and a pilot who has the surplus mental capacity to command the aircraft and lead the crew.

Command & Leadership Training

Decisional skills are developed in parallel with the manipulative skills through a program of personal development that integrates social behavior, communication skills, and leadership qualities. These skills are nurtured in ground activities and later integrated with the airborne and simulator activities. The leadership training promotes confidence, which in turn builds manipulative and command skills. At KL International Flying Academy, the cadet pilot is train and developed to build the:

“Pilot and the Aircraft Commander”

To enhance the command and leadership qualities of the cadets, KL International Flying Academy in conjunction with Toastmasters International will ensure that each cadet attends the Toastmasters International’s event. At each meeting the cadets will take turns in different functions within the meeting. The cadet must also complete 5 formal speeches, each with set objectives.

KL International Flying Academy maintains a discipline attitude both at work and in social environments. Cadets must always act, dress and behave as an airline would expect a professional pilot to behave. They wear a neat clean uniform and always address the staff with formal titles and with respect.

Aviation Theory

Academic subjects are woven into the leadership and flying lessons. Terminologies and methods that complement the flying training are used so that the theory is applied in the air, and the practical flying is applied in the theory lessons. This exact integration of manipulative skill and knowledge provides a rounded pilot who has a high sense of situation awareness and a pilot who can adapt to changes in the airborne situation.

Living Environment

KL International Flying Academy specializes in small full time classes for the Cadet Pilots. The living environment is safe and free from social distractions. The cadets’ behavior is monitored, both in the accommodation and with the community in which they are residing.

The Choice

Choosing to train with the right organization is therefore a very important choice you must make in your search for the best “flying training organization”. Amongst other things you would need to know the following:

The EnvironmentToolsInstructors

KL International Flying Academy will be the best choice you can make in your flying career. Our aircraft includes the PA34 Piper Seneca V Turbo Charge aircraft and our instructors are a combination of both from Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines and the Air Force. These combinations have proven to be very successful worldwide.

Your ambition and dreams of having a professional career in aviation is an exciting and rewarding one. Your future is what you make of it. We are here to provide you with the best environment for training, the best tools and experienced instructors to help you achieve your dream. Together your dream will be a reality.

Asia Pacific Flight Training (APFT)

Posted by kedai service 15.9.09 1 comments

Asia Pacific Flight Training Sdn Bhd opened its academy of flight training, Asia Pacific Flight Training (APFT), to specialize in airline pilot courses for commercial airlines at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport, Pengkalan Chepa, Kota Bharu Kelantan.
APFT is fully accredited by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia as an advanced tertiary training institution. Internationally recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), APFT has been selected by Malaysia Airlines and other major airlines as an approved organization for flight training of their cadet pilots.
At APFT training cadets are exposed to an aviation environment where airline domestic operations occur daily.
Sultan Ismail Petra Airport operates a first-class airfield, equipped with Radar, Instrument Landing System and other approach aids.

Objectives
Asia Pacific Flight Training is a fully accredited college of flight training, approved to teach and examine students for:
• Private Pilot Licence
• Commercial Pilot Licence
• Airline Transport Pilot Licence
• Multi-Engine & Instrument Ratings
• Assistant Flight Instructor Course

As a private institution of higher education registered with the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, APFT conducts a course of study for the Diploma in Aviation (Pilot Training).

Our Vision
"To be recognised as Asia Pacific's leading provider of pilot training."

Our Mission
"We aim to achieve the highest standards of integrity, discipline and professionalism in our everyday performance. We desire that the dreams and visions of all our students will someday come true."

The Concept
The DCA Malaysia Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) course is a full-time programme conducted by Asia Pacific Flight Training (APFT) at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport Pengkalan Chepa, Kota Bharu Kelantan and at other locations chosen to maximise flying opportunities within Malaysia.

On completion of a minimum of 60 weeks training, the graduate will be awarded a DCA Malaysia Commercial Pilot’s Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR). All students will study theoretical knowledge up to Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence (ATPL) standard, allowing the straightforward issue of this qualification as soon as the mandatory minimum flying experience has been achieved. This is 1,500 hours of flight time, which must include 500 hours of multicrew flying. Between graduation from the training course and accumulating 1,500 hours, the pilot acts as a First Officer, exercising the privileges of the CPL/IR, which during this time is referred to as a Frozen ATPL.

Financial Assistance or Funding
Students will either be funding their own training, usually having secured bank or parental support or, will have been selected by an airline for full or part sponsorship.

As of June 10, 2005, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributors may use the savings in their EPF Account II to fund and finance their own or their children's pursuit of the Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) Course. Please refer to the EPF website (http://www.kwsp.gov.my). MARA also provides sponsorships to students pursuing Commercial Pilot License Course with effect from April 2008. Please refer to the MARA website (http://www.mara.gov.my).

In General
Integrated course class size is restricted to 20 students.Applicants for the Integrated Course do not require previous flying experience. Those already holding a PPL, or a Non-DCA Malaysia Licence may apply to APFT for an abridgement to the full course of training. This will allow a small reduction in the single engine flying hours, so reducing the cost and in some cases the duration.
Experience clearly shows that those completing the Integrated Course have the best chance of securing a First Officer position quickly. The standardised, structured and professional nature of all aspects of this training is regularly asked for by airlines world-wide.

The Course
The minimum of 60 weeks Integrated Course consists of Theoretical Knowledge lectures in the classroom and Flight Training.

Theoretical Knowledge Training
Theoretical Knowledge is conducted by the Ground School in well equipped and air conditioned lecture rooms, each capable of accommodating 16 to 20 students.
APFT Instructors have vast experience, a wide variety of aeronautical backgrounds, both civil and military, and are experts in Aviation Training.
An example of the Integrated course Theory syllabus is as follows:
The following subjects will be introduced in the first eight weeks in the classroom:

* Airlaw (Introduction)
